If you used to shave, a few treatments may be required to see the full beneficial effects of the waxing.
Caffeine, pregnancy and menstruation can cause increased sensitivity. Taking a mild painkiller 30 minutes prior to your visit has been known to reduce pain.
-Avoid heavy exercise for at least 10 hours after waxing
-Avoid saunas, steam rooms, whirlpools and other heated sources for at least 48 hours
-Do not use exfoliating products (AHAs, scribs, etc) and loofs until at least 24 hours after waxing
-Avoid tight clothing after waxing, especially in the waxed areas as it may result in irritation and/or ingrown hairs
-Avoid deodorents and anti-perspirants for 24 hours following an underam waxing treatment.
-Regular exfoliation may be helpful especially on leg and arm areas
-Routine waxing helps the skin get accustomed to the procedure and may minimize irritation
-Products are available that can be applied topically to avoid in-grown hairs and condition the skin for better waxing results
-Women may experience extra sensitivity to waxing up to a week prior to the beginning of their menstruation
Some people find the skin reacts with redness and bumps which disappear a few hours after waxing.
We offer three types of intimate waxing for women. Bikini, French Bikini, and Brazilian. These descriptions should help you decide which is best for you.
Bikini – removes hair to the traditional panty or bikini bottom line.
French Bikini – removes hair from the sides and top, leaving a strip or triangle.
Brazilian – clean as a whistle, removes all hair from front to back.
